About me
ARTIST STATEMENT
I think the real meaning of art is the unlimited mobility of the mind, new connections in the flow and creative reality propositions. In this context, as a tool that reconstructs the relations between disciplines, cultures and meanings; I see it as a way to understand the life, future.
BIO
After leaving my Engineering and Tourism Education in Bosphorus University, I studied Art (Painting) in Mimar Sinan Academy of Fine Arts.
Besides, I have dealt with various branches of art such as Music, Performing Arts, Digital Arts (Virtual Reality, 2D/3D Computer-Aided Design and Animation), Interaction Design, Programming, Comics, Art Direction of Motion Pictures, Book Design and Illustration, Zen and various Far Eastern Art forms and practises such as Aikido and Tai-chi.
I currently work in the Department of Basic Art and Design Education as a professor at the most influential Art University in Istanbul, Turkey; Mimar Sinan. I also served in various positions such as Department Head, Graduate Program Manager, Vice Dean, Senate Member, Museum Director.
I have also performed interdisciplinary studies and performances that combine painting and music (by singing and compositing).
I am interested interested in Zen, Hypnosis and various kind of disciplines connected with the huge potential of mind; have a Master degree in Clinical Psychology with the awareness of the intense relationship between art and psychology, such as yin and yang.
I created an education system, "MAD Thinking" (Mind of Art and Design) that combines processes equivalent to the fundamentals of design thinking with the basic concepts of art and psychology. I still continue to educate on by my series of "Art and Creative Mind". MAD Thinking aims "thinking deeply and focused" by using the rich potential of the mind in micro scope, and to ensure the "self-realization" in macro scope. I thinks that art is something done with the mind and a means of self-discovery...
I am now gamifying MAD Thinking, in addition to continuing my classes, education, and artistic works. He is working on "MAD Island", a 3D computer game (or interactive education system) that aims to make it available to the masses. A beautiful tropical island full of art-related quests and adventures serves as a metaphor for the player's inner journey aimed at awakening the artist and wisdom within.

I am now studying on a new Arrtistic form of expression: "MAD Love", which is builds on "12Faces of Love" by blending with "MAD Thinking", in "MAD Island", as a 3D interactive exhibiting that aims to make it available to the masses in an immersive multi-dimensional environment for excessive experiance of art in its very heart... This beautiful tropical island welcomes people for a new way of exploring themselves and love via a metaphore of inner universe.
